Pashait is the great river-and-oasis civilization of southwestern Kurillia — homeland of the Suryani, a four-armed, jewel-toned people whose spiritual and artistic traditions form one of the oldest living cultures of Zanjra. Its realm is built around immense sacred rivers with stepped ghats and water palaces, caravan superhighways linking oases and trade cities, terraced red-stone highland citadels, and coastal ports connected to the Estwarin League.

The Suryani are distinguished by four arms (two powerful primary, two dexterous secondary), jewel-toned skin with opalescent sheen, star-patterned irises, and a culture that ties identity to stars, solar cycles, celestial omens, and luminescent birthmarks. Artistry is prayer made visible. Debate sharpens the mind and spirit. Wealth is a blessing only when shared.

Government & Society

Pashait is governed by the House of Amarat, an ancient dynasty whose authority derives from River-Law and monsoon cycles. Beneath them: warrior Orders housed in highland citadels, scribal sanctuaries preserving millennia of knowledge, and philosophical academies where debate is both tradition and profession.

The caravan roads are Pashait’s arteries — fortified caravanserais, spice and silk markets, oasis sanctuaries, and astrological waystations link Pashait to Odruain, Castaria, Etrium, and the Estwarin League. Coastal ports bring in Lyfan sailors, Scaelian diplomats, Yunshan merchants, and Estwarin traders in a controlled cosmopolitan bustle that Pashait manages with practiced grace.

Traditions, Magic & Military

Pashait’s magic is celestial in character — Solar, Radiance, and Dream schools dominate, often combined in ways unique to Suryani tradition. The Flamewrit Academy is one of Kurillia’s premier institutions for fire and radiance magic, competing internationally with Temair’s Celestian Academy.

Military traditions include the Sandwardens (desert scouts defending caravan routes), the Oasis Legion (shield-wall infantry coordinated for extreme heat), and the Heron Riders (light cavalry trained for speed and endurance). Key traditions include Dreamwalk practices that echo the techniques of some of Kurillia’s most gifted seers — and that give Pashait an unusual relationship with prophecy and celestial interpretation.
